File Hosts and Image Hosts!

Hello Everyone,

I always look at file hosting websites and image hosting websites and wonder how they make money other than through adsense?

I believe some offer a premium account, but what does this entail?

File hosting is such a bad business to go into, the server fees are so much.

 

Is that 67 members with premium accounts?

i have very good experience with image host, i am now running my third image hosting site, on my own server. I earn money with adsense/adbrite.

 

nope 6 of them are just premium members rest are FREE members. My website is New and earning 4$/Day via adsense and only upload average of 9 Images / Day . 6 New members / day. Average 45 MB BandWidth / Day Usage so No mightyserver charges...

Well, in my opinion proxies and Image hosting would make more from CPM programs, than Adsense. Either proxies or image hosts needs much traffic. Not overyone clicks, so its just better to have some revenue for every visit. If You have a good source of traffic (USA/UK/switzerland and so) You can have almost 2$ per 1000 impressions in some companies. One CPM banner + 2 adsense banners = maximized revenue in my opinion.

 

most imagehosts use CPM ad networks and Affiliate Ad Networks to be most profitable
adsense is not good and you can get banned when a user upload jsut one offending file/image

 

May I know which company pays 2$ per 1000 impressions ? I would be happy with even 1$ lol =) My site generate over 50.000 page views daily but earnings are 5-10$ or sometimes even less ( I am using AdBrite/Adsense ) And yeah my traffic is mostly USA.

 

CPX tend to pay a lot for banner ads, but its very hard to get accepted...

 

Well, You can see a list of CPM affiliates on GeekHall.net, So I would recommend You to see it and pick one of them. (the first one - Yesadvertising pays CPM popup 1.80$ from USA and UK traffic )

i run my own imagehosting site..dont make squat off adsense...it just shows in the footer of the main site..not on anyones hosted images..I make a little money off premium accounts because i offer loads of space and BW

 

I've been told mediamax.com is really good for file storage. check it out.

Mediafire.com is also very good imho.

 

yeah adsense is no good for imagehosting or filehosting and will only bring down your earnings as well
cpm ad networks are better

How much do people usually charge on average for a premium account with a image host or file host?

 

the adsense is placed on main page so the image hosting sites earn good with it.
