I have been doing research on my competitors and found that the same person owns like 5 different shopping cart sites selling all kinds of fashion related items... im 99% sure he doesnt have all this inventory...so how do one of these sites operate without inventory? where does the inventory come from? he ranks well for ALL these sites...and its very frustrating.
Probably some dropshipper, they're all over the internet: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=dropshipper&btnG=Google+Search Most I think are probably worthless.
doba.com maybe? Or something similar. There are lots of third-party drop-shipping companies out there. Use that google search above to find them.
is using a dropshipper worth it? i found a niche where the top 5 search results are all the same person!!! and all the sites are these types of stores.
The company i work for owns 20 sites and for a few keywords/phrases we controll the whole of page one.
No sorry if it was mine i would. What we do, is contact distributors and become a reseller (if were in the top 5 resellers we get bonus's) then we sell the products through our sites and get carriers to take it. sorted
I suppose there is some profit in working with drop shippers, but you have to be willing to be that guy who owns a handful of sites, pays $3.50 per click on all of them, and loves to chase a thousand orders a week just to make 5% margin or less. The only ones making money in this arrangement are the drop shippers. Figure out how to be one of them and you got the problem solved. I have had some success importing my product from china. You do not have to be Wal-Mart to do it, either. I think a great many folks are catching on to this. Some of the people who you think are working with drop shippers are obtaining the same products (not usually brand name) from Chinese suppliers. If you have the storage space to keep the contents of a 20 or 40 foot container, then you can import.
