... but I love to discuss my favorite show. Yes, I blog about it too, and extra readers wouldn't hurt, but one of the reasons I like message boards is the opportunity to find others who like the contestants I like as much as I like them! My husband, who writes the blog with me, usually disagrees with me. I need support!

So! Who's for Jason Castro? (I'm going to duck and run now, because I don't know the AI mood of this group yet...)

 

I love American Idol.........I'm a mobile DJ and have to know about the show as a business necessity......LOL

Jason Castro is going bye-bye in the next couple of weeks. His lame IZ rip-off ("Over The Rainbow") may fool some people but you can't beat the Fat Kahuna at his own ukelele game....

Brooke is going to be in the bottom three......she is getting more lame as the weeks go by.

Kristy Lee Cook is turning out to be a surprise......she really BLEW ME OUT OF MY SOCKS this week.

CARLY SMITHSON is most likely getting voted out this week....BAD SONG CHOICE and she looks fugly with that arm tattoo.

FINAL THREE PREDICTION: David Archuleta, David Cook, Michael Johns.

 

The only good thing about American Idol is the first shows when they have all the nuts on. I LMAO!!!
I do like carrie underwood though!

oh wow, I originally wanted to see Carly in the final 3 with Michael Johns and David Archuletta...she is an awesome singer...but she blew my favorite Queen song "Show Must Go On" last night..She started it fantastic, and then lost it somehow...what a shame

Interesting to see you guys' predictions. I think Carly is awesome, too, when she doesn't try so hard.

Idol Gives Back was about an hour too long tonight, but there was a lot of star power behind it. I do wish Elliott Yamin had sung. I think Carrie's performance of "Praying For Time" was terrific.

 

According to DIAL IDOL......Carly is the most likely person to get booted off.

(There was a huge backlash over her past recording career .....see Vote For The Worst site [www (dot) voteforthe worst (dot) com].....she had a record deal and an album in 2001 that cost MCA $2.2 million but only sold 378 copies)

 

Last night Michael left. He was one of the best they shouldn't have cut him.

 

I agree with sheilasultani, its fun to watch those american people attending this contest. In my opinion these poeple think they are the best and don't want to admit that they actually su*k thats obvious. And after they have done the lame thing, they just say "Hey, its not fair, i was so great". Some one need to open their eyes.
No offence, im not an american and im not insulting anyone.

I wish I had put money on him earlier. His odds are probably pretty good now. I don't even know where to bet on AI anyways heh.

 

I'm not sure how much that has to do with her low placement lately; most of that tempest in a teacup seems to have blown over already, unless it's having a delayed effect. She certainly is very talented, but maybe people just can't get behind her.

Michael leaving was a surprise this early, but I don't think he would have won. I think Syesha should have gone home. She is technically very good, but she seems to be more interested in Whitney/Celine karaoke than estabilshing a reputation for herself.

I don't think David A. will win, even though he's been a favorite. I think he'll come in second to David Cook. Just a guess.

 

My wife completely agrees with Bunny about Syscreecha........she doesn't have her own identity.....its rather annoying that she keeps insisting on copying the divas (Whitney et al).

Wifey also likes the 2 Davids......she thinks it will come down to both of them in top 2.

I'm a big fan of KKKristy.....she is such a country barbie, and doesn't deserve to be there any more, but thanks to those wonderful folks at VFTW (Sanjaya's place).....she's still strong in the voting!!!

 

The Asian girl is so hot I can't believe she got cut.

 

I agree that Ramielle Malubay was asian eye candy.

But she was mediocre on a C/W song ("Dolly Parton week") and the West Coast asian voting bloc did not support her, causing her elimination.

[The asian vote (esp. CA, WA, Hawaii) was the reason Jasmine Trias went all the way to #3 in Season 3.]

One factor that my wife (a fashion expert) noted:
the AI producers kept putting her in these awful outfits that made her look like a cartoon character. One week it was sailor pants, another week it was those goofy shorts.

And, to make matters worse for poor Ramielle--- the folks at Vote For The Worst supported Kristy Lee Cook instead of picking her as the "Worst" (because Ramie was NOT the worst).

Kudos to Ramielle for making the Top Ten (and getting to participate in the AI Concert Tour).

 

****SPOILER FOR TONIGHT'S SHOW****If you haven't watched it yet, don't scroll down...















I mostly gave out middling grades tonight. Maybe it's because I'm not a Mariah Carey fan. The songs themselves didn't thrill me so if the contestants didn't really nail them, I was "eh."

I have to say KLC was probably the best of the night. I also liked Jason, Carly, and David A tonight, but I think Kristy really stepped up. She's impressing me.

David C was pretty good, definitely better than last week, but not back to his previous level of greatness quite yet. Brooke disappointed me somewhat. I think she's too tied to that piano. I think she should stick with the guitar.

Syesha - what to say? She did well for the most part but again, where is the real Syesha? Of course, she had no choice this week but to sing a diva song, but the only performance of hers so far where I feel like we saw any bit of HER behind the singing and the smile was "Yesterday." When I first saw her, I wrote down "This girl is a star!" She has the voice to be one, but we don't need another clone. We need Syesha to come through.

Well, I guess I found something to say, didn't I?

 

Agree with you that KKKristy was one of the top 4 performances, but that David Cook, Archulater, & Sycreecha was better (IMO).

Jason was simply awful, I guess you either love him or hate him!

Carly was out of tune, hideous to look at, and made these awful faces while singing.......I'm praying to the Irish Catholic holy trinity (God, Jesus & The Holy Spirit) that she's going home tomorrow (I wagered 20,000 Blu Bet dollars---nearly my entire Blu Bet $$$--- on Carly being voted off).

Hey all I love American Idol but Fox TV keeps spoiling it for us Brits lol. Can't believe they booted Michael - anyway I liked the show so much I even made a t-shirt called American Idle haha.
