New AdSense Code VS Old AdSense Code

Has anyone found that using new adsense code is more difficult to get targetted ads on your site? I personally found that it is very tricky compare to the old ones. My web page using old AdSense code can get a good range of targetted ads but once I changed it to new code it is very difficult to even just get some ads showing up!

Do you know any solution to this?

No difference for me,but i do actually prefer the old codes. Ease of modification and they turn up instantly.

but new ones have the benefit that they can be edited without replacing

I liked the old one as it could just be used at any site with a slight change in color code...but new codes need to be done all again for a new site

No difference to me too. Even the codes are different, their contextual targeting technology is still the same.

Gotta agree with you there. The new ones are a pain. I liked to be able to view the ad on my hard drive to be sure the colours were just right before uploading. Now by the time they show, and you want to change something, you time out and have to login again and get back to where you were :(

Yup. I agree with you. This is even happening with me. The ads are sometimes showing in non-english on my site.

There was no difference for me.
You can try section targeting though.

actually its just the opposite. before we had to generate the code all over again as we were not able to save the code. now we can save the code and change it by going under manage ads. so easy now

    I see no difference.

Anyway, if you want ads to be targeted then this will help

But doesn't it take up to 10 min before whatever you saved or modified actually shows up in your file? I found that it's a bit annoying...

Yep, I have had tried section targetting. Still I found that it is more tricky than the old one to adjust the ads showing... Sometimes no ads at all till I tweak a lot.

you are making me confused. from what i can remember from my last saved channel, it got saved right away and i could see that under manage ads instantly. also, my ad was updated at the same time i believe. there was no time delay

Sorry, I meant that when you modify/edit what you've saved originally it takes up to 10 min before the editted version shows up.
