Lol... just wondering how do members get banned by DP? They must have did something wrong. Right?

So what's your story?

I have been seeing quite an increased in members with status banned.
I hope I am not next.

 

I have never been banned, most people that I have seen around the forum have been banned for link baiting and spamming however I have heard that the mods are very strict on the duplicate user policy.

 

Why banned?

1.
breaking rules

2. (since there will be people who'll get mad if I say they break rule so)
getting infractions up to 10

Getting banned can be permanent or temporary

1. Breaking rules AND bring trouble maker and spamming and etc.., most likely permanent ban
2. Temporary banned when 1 or more infractions are lifted off out of 10

 

I haven't, and I don't wanna get banned. I do have few infractions too. All within my first week here in DP.

 

well I think banning is quite frequent coz the mods keeps the infraction point system very strict.. Though I don't think those got banned is bad maybe becoz they keep bumping.. hehhe..

 

I've gotten 5 infractions. 3 were from bumping. All of them are expired now and haven't received an infraction for a long time.

Nope haven't been banned, but I had a shadow poster that was banned last week, everytime I posted this guy was right in there, with a silly 1 word reply.

Had a 2 infractions when I started on here, it really pays to read the stickies!

My highest infraction point was 2.I always try to follow the rules here.So there is very little chance to be banned

 

I recently got banned for 20 days till my infractions expired.

all the 10 infractions were for bumping thread. I used to sell a lot of stuff here... so following up on the sales were important.. they thought i was bumping my thread... lol..

Anyways, i wont do that again.. One bitten twice shy...

I've been banned once for bumping threads. I didn't know about the rules and when you get an infraction, you get them all - one thread can give you 10 infractions. I almost went ballistic waiting 3 months to get back in here. I'm addicted to DP!

 

i earned my self a 7 day banned for thread bumpind wont do it again...

 

Duplicate Accounts.. wrongfully but nonetheless GuyFromChicago, via email, got it sorted out.

 

I haven't been banned yet and hopefully never will The closest I got was with 7 infractions due to bumping threads, I have learned my lesson since then.

 

10 infractions in one whack, banned for duplicated accounts. Sorted though by another member and an understanding mod/admin.

 

well at least it worked out for all of us. can you imagine the ones that are reading this post but are unable to post teeheehee
