CPM: A few questions

I have a few questions regarding CPM (cost per mille / cost per thousand impressions) advertising:

    1. Do rates change depending on the traffic of your website or are they static?

    2. What is the average CPM on estimate?

    3. On Wikipedia they used an example of a $5 CPM. How is this attainable?

    4. What is the best company for CPM advertising?

    5. Is it possible to have 2 CPM ads per page resulting in a doubled CPM?

    6. How do you find CPM rates? Do advertisers tell you or do you find out when you are payed?

Thanks in advance! If you can only answer a few questions, thats fine too!:)

    1. Some companies pay more for US/UK type traffic.

    2. 50 cents - $5. It depends.

    3. Its probably not, unless a deal is done privately.

    4. I hear adbrite is quite good.

    5. I doubt it.

    6. Yeah. Or you'll see as you experiment.

If I register with one company though, will my CPM change depending on my traffic? Or is it a constant rate?

Does Adbrite do just CPM or are they like Adsense where they have both PPC and CPM and don't give you an option of which will show?

    Thanks again!

    1. Generally it'll stay the same, though it varies by company.
    2. $0.50-$1.00 through ad networks.
    3. If you have a high trafficked site you could get offers this high.
    4. I've got a few really good ones up my sleeve - IM or PM me and I'll send you some more details. This isn't to get referral links or anything - I just don't want to waste my time with a huge write-up.
    5. If the banners each pay $0.50cpm for every view, you'll have a page cpm of $1.00
    6. The advertisers will generally tell you.
