WTF is fairness creams

someone mention it on some other forum and i google it. however, i don't understand what it is.

It makes your face look white?

 

Yup.Its a quite popular thing here in the Indian subcontinent(I don't know about other regions).Years ago normally fairness creams were for women but now a days it is available for men too!!!We think we will look more beautiful if our skin becomes more bright and white.
You people there with white skin try to make it brown by sun tanning,etc and we people here try to make our skin white like you-what a dilemma

BTW I am happy with what skin I have.I don't want to look my face color different from other parts of my body

 

ya the fairness cream makes the face white. but its not good for the skin. it may cause the cancer on the skin.

 

Fair means white... which is bright and people thinks that will make them right..... well bs.
I have never tried such creams. I would spend money on beers than some ds fairness cream

 

Fairness cream will allow a darker person the opportunity to get a reverse tan like Michael Jackson

 

well, I tried it once (Ofcourse stealing the tube from a friend , don't tell him)
It just made my face sticky and oily.

 

Which one, Fair and lovely,Active mens cream or some other? One of my friend used Fair and lovely cream for 1.5 years and still no change in color,now he is using some other cream,haha.

 

I never heard of that, that is so funny white people tan and tan people want to get white -

 

Of course this is the way it is because many people will strive to be something that they are not.

 

Well this is kinda like taking a risk if u using this cream
