This is my first spam message since I have begun to use Gmail. Hotmail was sending dozen every day. But this is cool to me. First time I receive this type of spam.
Kidding me? Who on earth believes that Kofi Annan will email him right in his inbox? Yes you are right! Probably someone who does know Kofi Annan ..who is he even
I'm glad you obviously didn't fall for it. I get those all the time and sometimes I'll read them to look at all the spelling errors and see how believable they've tried to make it. You can usually tell right off by the style of how the address is written, the caps, and the over usage of commas. Don't forget about the common line "someone with your last name died," and they never mention your last name. They don't space between their commas and if it was so important why did they email me? I don't know this person and I'm sure they've got SOME family in South Africa, not some American with "the same last name" as me. Plus, it's spelled Kofi Annan I love winning those lotteries I've never entered.
too bad you didnt qualify for a millionaire or a prince or a King like some of us here do with those emails
I calculated that I had more than a billion dollars from such emails Just trash it, it is some variant of Nigerian 419 scams.
I doubt there is really anyone doing anything. Internet is so full of scams of such nature, although I did read of those that was really scammed by these. I have no sympathy for the victims though, they are doing money laundering if they cooperate. They deserve what they lost.
