I think I was overfloaded of informations about SEO that I tend to be very confused... Can you help me go back again to the "Basic and Essential Techniques of SEO"? Like for Example, I want to optimize the SEO of single page of my website, what's the first thing I should do?
ohh, Well, that's why I always saying that don't run fast, here are so many guys who are reading from articles and going so far and forgot all the starting things. Anyway you start your optimization on your site and if you face any king of problem then share with us. According to me 1st thing for getting free links from good relevant site it can come from directory submission, article submission, comment posting, blogging start with them
Alright, Here is a very basic guide to starting SEO: 1) Find out for which keyword(s), you want the page to rank. 2) Try to optimize the page for that keyword. This includes a) keyword in the title tag b) keyword in the text of the page (feel free to use some H1-tags, bold text or something like that). c) keyword in the URL if possible. d) write a good piece of copy for the description tag. This will very often be shown by Google in SERPS, so this will have to be good to have people click on your search result. With all of the above, remember to write good some good copy for readers, not some spammy-looking text for the search engines. 3) Go and get some good backlinks to the page. The best is a backlink with appropriate anchor text (i.e. the keyword is included in the anchor text) from a site that is an authority on the subject, but these are not always possible to get. Those are three basic steps in SEO. Neither the list nor the sublist in no. 2 are exhaustive, but for very basic SEO, begin with this.
I would add creating a sitemap and checking the quality of HTML code (make sure that's without errors).
You want the basics? Here you go: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182915 And when you're done with that, read http://www.websitepublisher.net/seo-guide/ You won't need anything else after that point, aside from knowledge on how to properly design, develop, market and promote a modern Web site (or knowing people who can do it for you).
Since I'm a newbie in this subject its important that i learn guidelines so thanks anyway for feeding the info I need. Profitimo
I personally handle the technical aspects of SEO (I'm a Web developer by trade) and dabble with the marketing aspects (SEM) in my spare time.
We should go with the basic always SEO can be in two process 1. ON page optimization ( here you can put our key words on the url, title meta discription, meta keywords etc) 2. OFF page optimization ( here you can submit build liks by article submission, blog submission, forum submission etc)
