What do the factories in your town/area make?

In the town I live in, they make Sour Punch Straws.

They may be going out of business because they've laid off a lot of people and what used to be almost 50 people in a shift, has gone down to like nine. Okay, so American Licorice treats their staff like crap and everyone in La Porte is sick of their candy, but if you buy it you may be saving someone their measly $12 per hour job.

The town next to us makes Nutter Butters... you know.. the cookies.
If anyone eats a cookie, or sneezes, or blinks, they shut down the factory for cleaning. So you know those things are safe... unless you're allergic to peanuts.

    What does your town produce?

I live in a town that used to mess around a lot with cotton I believe. I don't know much about the history of the place though. The town next to us makes baked beans though :p

The city I am presently located, is famous for poultry industries. They are churning out eggs in millions, both for domestic consumption and export :)

We don't have factories in my part of the UK - it's more of a seasonal tourist place. Most of the economy relies on the service and hospitality sector.

I've been to Norfolk base before. My friend's brother was stationed at Little Creek and we went up to Norfolk to visit. I went to that tax free grocery store which was nice. We have Cici's pizza here but the one down there has chocolate pizza which is good.

There used to be a lot of steel plants in our area, but they moved overseas and our area turned into a ghetto almost overnight. A tractor plant also moved out of the area as well putting a huge percentage of people in my town out of jobs almost overnight. This was years ago, but the area just wasn't able to come out of it.

What about in your town? I'm sure your whole town is not a park.

In my town there was this meat slicer factory (which is now closed) so the high school team is called "The Slicers"
