Please review my website. Its about 2 months old now and I am doing my best to design it as recommended from the many wonderful members of this forum. Everything I've learned so far has come from DP. Recommendations for improving my site is welcomed. Thanks, Ray http://chaseconsulting.blogspot.com
Thanks for the review.....you know, I did not even think about the size of the text until you mentioned it!
Looking good, I like the combination of the colors. Not sure if you meant to have the days and months in small caps. I beleive most of the time they are capitilized. That is your call. Very good content.
I guess that is how the template is....I thought that was weird too..... Maybe someone knows how I can change that....if so, PM me. Thanks
The template is one of those default templates, right? Try to change it to something less common. For an IT consulting site, I would expect a custom domain rather than blogspot. Buy a domain. You can still host it on Blogspot if you don't want to spend money on hosting.
Good stuff rchase...the overall design is good. I see, though, too many 160x600 adblocks or similar stuff, may be you want to reduce a bit there. Ajith
There's an orange field with some kind of categories on it which does not work. What is it for? When I click on them, nothing happened, so I got the feeling that this site is not ready or does not work properly. Good luck with your business!
I agree with pablopabla the template is a one of the default templates which has probably been used by many different people. It would be great if you had a unique template.
You should definately get your own domain, a unique template and your own unique logo if you are a serious computer consultant. You should also lose the ads or at least get rid of as many as possible. These things will make you look more respectable and professional.
I agree with iboltmedia's post. If this is going to be a professional site to get actual computer consulting work, there are way too many ads, especially the big google one right in the middle of the first post. If you are going for ad revenue then it's great. I do like the overall layout though.
You have got a nice blog. I have got two suggestions: 1. Use the same font size for the posts. It does not look neither nice, nor professional. 2. It is OK to have Google ads on front page, but it is not good it be the first content your visitors see. You should remove the first ad block that you seen when you just visit the site (before the fold - if you are familiar to the term) And another thing - I would love it if you got some time to review my site at DP too. It is here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1101446 Thanks and good luck!
