My QS scores all went up to great now they started out at ok, but now I got them back up to great along with many other adgroups now will my cost start dropping after they hit great? From my understandings my ad rank will start improving as long as I keep paying for clicks? I'm just paying super high right now, but the good thing is my QS went up to great, so I must be in the right area with this?
your quality score usually helps bring your cost down a little bit. In my experience having a higher CTR drops the CPC just as much or more.
true, but then again CTR improves QS therefore your ad rank increases which results in lower click cost
you will see the decrease in costs and higher positions over a slow gradual process of about 3 - 6 months and then continuous for the life of the account.
Robert, I have one affiliate offer right now I'm promoting through PPC now its a new account, but once I get some history built up into these campaigns for this url will it be a lot easier to jump into another affiliate in a different niche since I have some account history already? Which I know it will take a little bit to build a new keyword list up (the historical data), but will it be as intense as what this first campaign is do you see what I'm saying?
Just to make sure we're clear about this, an improvement in your Quality Score won't necessarily mean that your cpc falls - if your bids don't change, you'll just move further up the rankings. This could actually increase your cpc, depending on other people's Quality Scores, and their bids. If you want to reduce your cpc, then as your QS improves, reduce your bids to ensure that you stay in the same place...
Custard, if your already bidding on the number 1 spot your bid will go down after time... After your QS goes to great that's what I've seen anyways my bid keeps going down while keeping the same posistion
