[WTS] Huge Money Making Entertainment Site ($1340/month)

I'm here to sell my television forum (which includes a subdirectory for embedded online movies and tv shows).

(I made a post trying to sell this site a few weeks ago, however the buyer backed out so I am trying to sell this site again. Good news is, I found an even better way of making money with it using zangocash and revenue is much higher now).


Why I am Selling:

There are several reasons why I am selling this site.
1) Need funding for many other projects I am involved in.
2) Requires maintenance (putting up a few videos/day)
3) I have too many other website commitments in addition to real life commitments.

Forum (Pagerank 5):

The forum has been around since about May of 2007. It gets 3,000 - 4,000 uniques / day (all from search engines and direct traffic from former members). It is extremely well indexed in google for many popular terms such as "TV Shows" "TV Forum" "Television Forum" etc. This has been very steady traffic for several months. We get anywhere between 40-80 members coming on the site every day and usually between 15-30 new member registrations every day. We currently have around 7,000 members.

The domain name is pr 5 and hundreds of the internal pages have pr 3, 2, and 1. site:tubeyak.com returns about 10,500 hits and just tubeyak.com returns 13,500. Our threads are indexed very rapidly by google.

Revenue:

We sell 4 banner spots.

1. Top Right - Our current advertiser is paying us $50/month. Our last advertiser (who was with us for 5 months paid $40/month).
2. Top Center - We've sold this one to the same advertiser for 3 months now for $150/month and before that it was making around $5/day adsense.
3. Right Column - We've sold this one to the same advertiser for $30/month
4. Bottom Center - (Below threads, PMs, posts) - Currently going for $10/month.

We also use zangocash.com (just started using 2 weeks ago) which is making $20/day on average which comes out to $600/month.

How much we're making monthly: $240/month from the advertisers and $600/month from zangocash.

That comes out to $840/month and $10,080/year.



This traffic has been very steady and I see a lot of potential for this forum in the future. Currently, we have not really developed a true community on the forum because I have not had the time/effort to put into the forum. If you actually try to develop a real forum community, the site could be worth more.

We have our own custom designed Logo and one of the better VBulletin templates out there.

Movies & Shows Site

We started this about 2 month ago. We have a strong partnership with a major online movie website which is where we get most of our traffic. Currently it's getting about 20,000 - 25,000 uniques/day. The great thing about the embedded links is that you can make a lot more money if you just put in a little work embedding the videos. You just need basic HTML knowledge or just how to use one of those free online html editors.

Part of the sale is that I will give you all of my tips and teach you exactly what you need to know.

The traffic used to be 30,000 - 40,000 uniques/day a few weeks ago but I have stopped putting up videos recently because like I mentioned earlier, I have too many projects on my plate. If you just put in about 30 minutes/day, you can increase the traffic considerably more.



The analytics is for both the forum and moviesites.

Revenue:

A few weeks ago I sold this to an advertiser for $150/week for 2 weeks. After that, I sold it to an advertiser for $175/week for 1 week. Before that, I used a combination of adsense and adbrite and it was making $10-$15/day. Currently I am just linking to my own forum. One great idea what you can do is just sell fixed numbers of impressions since there are not that many advertisers who have enough money to pay for a week/month. But yet again, I do not have enough time to implement this system.

Remember you are not uploading videos (which is illegal), you are simply embedding videos uploaded elsewhere.

The revenue from the /watchmovies and /watchshows is therefore between $300/month (low estimate of $10/day of adsense/adbrite) to $700 month (high estimate from when we sold the banner for $175/week).

Total Revenue: $840/month (forum) + $500/month (which is an average of the low and high estimate for embedded videos).

Yearly revenue of: $16080/year.

Total yearly cost for hosting: about $100-150

Start the bidding at $6,000.

We will set the BIN at: $10,000.

The BIN is considerably less than 1 year's revenue which is often the standard.

We will split escrow 50/50 with the buyer.

Additional Revenue: Just found an advertiser willing to pay $50/month to put 3 links on footer of the forum. That's $600 additional revenue/year.

probably a dumb question, but i assume the movie site is not exactly legal?

 

not a dumb question at all.. i wonder if advertiser know this involves spreading illegal warez, because they could leave without paying any second the want.

We do not host videos which is very illegal. We simply link to them. That's not to say that these movie companies can't get mad. But the worst they'll do is e-mail you telling you to remove the video.

Most of my advertisers are for the forum and not the watchmovies subdirectory.
