the key lessons of this story is: NEVER get a hosting account from a reseller - always directly from hosts owning datacenters! then you have a direct hotline or chat-support for realtime contacts in such situations. always make full offline-backup daily or after every major change of a site -->> if you would have used regular professional publishing procedures such as a complete ORIGINAL offline and rsync all with your online site and backup all online-modified files daily ... then you never could have such a mess. it also shows that you have started your website BEFORE learning and preparing yourself properly.
Actually i didnt lose your files, the server company did. Secondly i did not say i would backup your files at all and it was in the tos that we take no responsobility for loss of files and you should make regular backups.
Well, I don't think he should be allowed to promote his business here anymore, but it's really your fault for buying such cheap and badly managed hosting from someone who didn't even have a proper site! As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for!" OK, well that's the stupidest thing I've heard in a while... I have realtime phone support available with my web host, which is available almost 24/7 or live support which is on 12/7. If something goes wrong, someone will be there to help. And anyway, buying hosting from a Datacenter isn't going to decrease your chance of getting scammed much at all... Datacenter's can go bankrupt overnight and disappear as well... It's happened before...
