Typo Domains

Just bought a bunch of domains. Part of them are "typo" domains. I was just wondering if one can make any money from typo domains or one can only ask for trouble related to TM issues. I am curious to know how many visitors you get on your "typos" ? I began monitoring them and I get between 3 and 12 a day (monitored only a couple of days) I realize that traffic in this case shouldbe monitored over a long period of time since chance plays the only role.
    Thanks

There's not a lot you can do to increase the number of type ins you get, but it's free traffic so just work on monetizing what you get. That's the whole idea of parking programs, but you can always do better building a custom landing page for your site's niche.

I've only got one typo domain and it only gets a few hits a day, and has never been profitable from the traffic it recieves.

Yes, you are right. I have sites with 3 visits a day that make more money in that day than a site with 100 visitors a day, BUT not every day. Does google hate "typo" sites ??

Google has nothing to do with how many type ins you get, but if you're expecting google search traffic then develop the domain.

Certainly if you park the domain you shouldn't expect google to like it, you'll just have a mass produced ad filled page with no content.

Develop my domain ? :) goooogle.com - ? And expect what ? google coming after me ? or develop it as a gaming site? What do you think? What are my chances? No TM issues ? Still ranked in google ?

Some typos are very hard to monetize. The people who land there are alert to the fact they are not on the page they want to go...and they leave immediately.

    It's a gamble with typos.

As I said I did not reg them myself, just bought them as part of a larger lot. They are expiring soon so, I might just delete them. Can I do that?

typo domains can be very valuable when:
    - the domain is a mispelled popular site
    - the domain mispelling is one letter off and the letter is right near the other letter on the keyboard

It's better to use domain tasting at Dynadot, when dealing with typo domains.

I suppose the idea is to use domain tasting in order to see if the names get traffic and drop them if they don't.

That would mean to use Dynadot's tasting service. If the name doesn't have traffic in the 4 days, delete it for a credit>

I moved typo domains on my server, tracked them with xtremetracking for one week. Results are between 3 and 12 visitors a day. Domains will expire very soon. Should I renew them ? Or just let them go ? Can I delete them completely? What's the procedure?
    Thank you

At dynadot, it takes just 30 seconds to delete and register a new typo domain.

sounds like my parked domains, except I get that much per week, and nobody ever clicks ads.
