I submited like 4 months ago, how long does it take? How do I know if the submission went through? I have 5 sites and want to know which one went through?

How long does it take? Years for alot of people. NEVER for most. Just forget about DMOZ and move on. Trying to figure out DMOZ will only frustrate you and make you go...

It depends on dmoz editor when they will approve a website submitted. I have submited my website 3 months ago and it takes more than 2 and half months to approve.

when submitting a site to DMOZ, You should do the following things:
-choose appropriate category and make a site description
-to wait for approval with patience

P.S. I wouldn't recommend to remind, hurry or submit Your site repeatedly.

I think it has become very difficult to get listed on it, just submit it but dont expect much from it.

For most people you'll never get listed. DMOZ is pretty much a waste of time now.

Prepare to wait an eternity. I don't know why it takes so long. Evaulating a site should take a few minutes; but perhaps they need more volunteers.

no one knows, as far as I know dmoz doesn't tell how long they review the site. Do not submit your site again or else it would be more impossible for your site to be listed.

Dmoz is a waste there are some top 20,000 sites on Alexa that have been around for years that they still haven't added yet!

Dmoz is a joke, it's ran by egotistical arrogant pricks that usually only list sites that they have an interest in and purposely keep out competition. Unless you in their clique you'll never be an editor and you'll never get your site listed unless by some miraculas act of God the editor of your category is having a good day and feels overly generous. I've been trying to get my site listed with them for over 6 months but I haven't seen ANY new sites added to my category since, and the ones that are listed are mostly slapped together crap sites with no real content or purpose. The ODP sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks, and oh yeah, it sucks.

If you write a basic description and add no keywords you have a lot better chance of geting approved. Also you must put domain name as title as well. But yes it does take a long time to get approved and depends on the editor of the category. I have had a few sites get accepted myself.

You've wasted ten minutes of otherwise productive time submitting to DMOZ.

Now that you've wasted that time... get back to productive work.

Just Fugetaboutit... DMOZ and Alexa... who frickin' cares anymore.
