Do people really buy from sites like this? Where there are testimonials etc. long scroll page. etc ???
lol.thats funny. but i think it converts very well because of few things: 1. it is unique so people will read it till the end. 2. it shows that the owner is really dumb but still makes some cash though the lack of proof may decrease the conversions but his 7$ price makes up for it.
It is funny and i will probably convert. Its cheap. I was curious to see what the product is, so i almost got it.
Curiosity will probably get him a few converts, but he's obviously not being serious. He is simply laughing at the million of websites like it (yours being an example in your signature). Your comment made me laugh too, I had a side imagination of you going on your own website and buying it The owner is anything but really dumb. It's satire, and to make something funny isn't an easy skill. This will appear on the majority of webmaster forums and a handful of blogs. While he doesn't exact conversions, he will. Not because he made a unique, funny website. Because there are dumb people out there. The only really dumb people are the people who will actually think he's being serious and give him seven bucks. He's going to get a lot of unique visits from it at least.
To be honest, i love the concept. Creative and really get my attention. The owner is not stupid ( please review the footer column, copyscape buddy ). He is using reverse psychology and i believe a lot of ppl are willing to spend $7 for a laugh.
That's a nice page to get some backlinks and create a lil buzz. I'm not sure about the sales, but by it being so unique it would not surprise me if it actually works. Good find Naseem
