My college grocery bill (just kroger's)

to start my sophmore year, just as a curiosity I made an excel spreadsheet to track my grocery purchases, this is just Kroger receipts, so it's not totally grocery expenses since ive obviously bought groceries at other places... thought i throw this here just for the hell of it, i might be on the only to have ever done something like this haha

i just recently finished up school and here is the damage

Kroger Savings: $563.65
Kroger Cost: $2,113.04

 

ouch. i can't wait till i start college next year

 

You are at college right? Do they provide food or do you have to buy everything yourself?

 

wow, during my college i follow a strict diet

instant noodles and cereals, that cost me nothing at all

 

we were forced to buy a meal plan my fresh yr, this is the total from 2nd yr to 4th year + 2 extra quarters

i don't really consider it a lot for the person that said that..considering some people can easily spend $40/week depending if if they are on a specific diet or not

 

i'm living on Ramen noodles
