Abkhaziya it became part of the Russian Empire of later than Georgia almost to 10 years. Moreover, Abkhaziya entered into the Russian Empire on the rights of autonomous principality. The second, Abkhaziya would always have its statehood, into whatever formations it entered. The third, during the creation of the Soviet Union Abkhaziya was one of republics, which signed the agreement about the formation of the union OF SSR. And in the period from 1921 through 1931 Abkhaziya was the same union republic as the Ukraine, Belorussia, Ukraine and so on. Then, in 1931 Stalin and Beria by rule-of-thumb introduced republic into the composition of Georgia on the rights of autonomy. And here are we for a long time, entire Soviet period, they were on the rights of autonomy. But even in this case Abkhazian autonomous SSR on its constitution was state. Although, beginning from the end of the 40th it is annual, almost every 10 years intelligentsia, people of Abkhaziya spoke in favor of secession of Georgia. Well, then about the independence complicated it was to speak, they wanted to become part of the Russian Federation.

In the beginning of March of 2008 Russian gov. made the decision to leave the regime of economic sanctions with respect to self-proclaimed republic Abkhaziya, which already more than 15 years is de facto the independent state; however, it de jure remains the territory of Georgia. What does await Abkhaziya in the future, how will "kosovskiy precedent" affect Abkhaziya?

I guess their leaders want, what russia gov. wants. Georgia has good partnership with US and Russia has not good relations with Georgia's gov.. And Abkhaziya is just like tool to use anti US and anti Georgia

well, I can step up, as Im from South Russia and somewhere near it.

Abkhaziya is up for it, 90% of population do not want integration with Georgia, moreover 50% + of population holds russian passports. So, you can guess whats gonna happen once it becomes officially independent, which is gonna happen I think 100%.
