Was I Scammed?

Hi everyone,

I hired someone on here to do directory submissions. They did a couple of good jobs for me in the past. After a while I didn't receive any confimations. I pmd them and they told me that they had issues with my hotmail account and they used a new address.

They never gave me the new address. About 6 - 8 weeks have went by I pmd them many times. No answer. Finally posted in their thread. they answered and told me that they never got the PMs. I sent back a reply asking for a report or the email address for confimations no answer requested again still no answer. I havn't seen any backlinks yet. I cant understand why they needed to get a new email address I never had problems with hotmail for submissions bfore. I have no way to validate anything.

Was I scammed and if so what can I do about it?

Did they ever give you a reason why they thought they were having issues with your original email? And yeah they are giving you a run around. Especially if it has been more than 6 - 8 weeks.

 

Yes I would think you were done. Please gave the name of the person, so nobody else is scammed.

 

If you can't see any link from directories on Y! Sitexplorer they haven't submit anything. And I don't know what could be wrong with Hotmail email...

Probably you got scammed.

 

Thanks for the help guys. I checked my pms and he was supposed to be finished on March 4th. I will give the name if you guys are absolutely sure that I was taken. Also if your sure I will not be violating any rules by doing so. I don't want anyone else to be taken but I don't want to ruin somebodies reputation if it's a misunderstanding or be irresponsible and break forum rules. Thanks.

 

IPstong - No reasons about Hotmail. Just said they were getting errors.

Well they did do a couple of good jobs in the past for you right? was those jobs good enough to give them the benefit of the doubt? if not, yeah, flush them out so at least other won't make the same mistake dealing with them.

there could be a misunderstanding or miscommunication somewhere here. member you are referring to has been around since 2006 and has 76 positive iTrader and onely one negetive. i suggest you try to work things out with your seller
