Yeah, but I heard TLA is paying rather well, so if you don't get much traffic from Google anyway, why not? The referral program is good too, $25 per referral that earns with TLA, I heard...

Well you should of have heard about this since few months ago. The Google guidelines condone the link selling/buying business (without the nofollow) but not because of the business nature but because it cheats on their algorithm.

It is up to an individual if he/she wants to continue selling text links (is it through TLA or privately) there is a huge amount of people selling text links and don't give a damn about being penalized in pagerank or serps by Google. But I would still advice you play smart and not get caught even if you jump into this (even if your websites traffic does not depend from search engines).

In either case, if you sell links (it really doesn't matter how, through TLA or privately) and you get caught you will have to face the penalization.

Yeah, you might want to check out another new text link ad network called TNX.net (pronounced "Thanks"). Advantage of this network is that it provides a tool to avoid detection of link selling and buying, read more here:

Text Links Made Easy via TNX.net

If you can avoid being detected for selling links, then you're basically safe from search rankings penalty... Enjoy :D

I heard from other people that, although they take a hefty cut (50%) of each link sold, they are rather good at finding buyers i.e. filling inventory and the pay is still good despite their 50% cut.

Also, some of the guys with big monthly earnings (you know, guys with make mone online blogs that say they earns 10s of thousands) make a good deal from TLA. In fact, sometimes its their 3 or 4th biggest earner.

Good Point though kind of funny, since this point puts TLA as a Fraud company which is selling Fool's Gold to people who don't know much about SEO.

That's a very bad business model and they won't survive if they DO NOT accept the reality, as they are just hiding from it.

User Friendly warning - Never sell a direct link on a Good performing site. You can loose 10x more than what the links are worth. You can ofcourse sell nofollow links, for probably 20% of the price, but its worth it.
