Hi guys. I want to buy a book about seo. I want a book, not an ebook so that I can read it while I'm going to sleep. If any one of you have read or come across a nice book about search engine optimization or website traffic related book, please let me know so that I can buy it.
If you're dead-set on the dead tree format, you'll want to get the Search Engine Marketing Kit by Dan Thies and Dave Davies (available from SitePoint.com). If you want a PDF book that you can print up and read, I suggest you read Chris Beasley's SEO Guide, which is available (free) online as a section of his Website Publisher site, and as a PDF file on his forum (you'll have to register for an account there first to get the PDF file).
You see, I didn't do that. I actually sat down and read some books. About HTML, CSS, semantics, usability, accessibility, information architecture, writing for the Web (as opposed to print)... and then when it came time to learn SEO, I read the SEO FAQ over at SitePoint and Chris Beasley's SEO Guide (previously linked to in this thread), and realized that I already knew most of what SEO was really about.
There's far too many of them out there, most of them suck, and don't actually help anybody learn anything since it's all just either re-hashed, out of date information, or downright lies. In other words, they don't do anything (for the most part) other than end up as clutter.
go out to your near book shop and search for computer/internet books. Hope you will find. Here members will suggest you ebooks
Thanks for the help Dan, I bookmarked your thread on everything about SEO. You're a true legend here at DP
I reccomend ... '' Getting noticed on Google '' - Ben Norman. A fantastic book and ben norman runs his own seo company online.
