Selling network of 100 BANS Sites - $300-$600 Revenue Monthly

At the start of December last year I launched 100 BANS sites over a 1 week period.

Here are some facts about the network:

• Hosted on a VPS at Servnt ($49 per month)
• Every site has it's own cPanel account under WHM
• All domains are .com and keyword rich, at Godaddy.com
• All domains expire around the beginning of December this year
• All sites are running BANS 2.0 without the EPN Fix (except one I upgraded as a test to BANS 3.0 with EPN fix) - I recommend finding someone on eLance to upgrade all the stores with EPN.
• The sites cover a huge array of niches I picked from eBay's categories, ranging from rock climbing gear to artisan jewelry.

Revenue
At this point the network of sites has earned: $1,307.01
December 2007: $1.24
January 2008: $345.10
February 2008: $570.28
March 2008: $363.02
April 2008 (until the 10th): $109.81



Very little promotion has been done. I had two of the sites submitted to directories and I had a blog on blogger.com where I mentioned a few of the sites. The only content is on one site (which is actually the highest earning) which is just a couple of articles I had outsourced.

Why am I selling?
This type of network isn't for me. I am far more interested in building up a small amount of quality content-rich websites and communities. I have an idea for a site that I feel could be very profitable so I'm making sure I have enough funds to pay a couple of writers to write content with me.

My Recommendation
The most profitable site has some content on it, and a simple design I made for it. If you were to go through the most profitable sites (I can give you a list of the top ones) and add some quality content you could turn the network into a great venture. Also, by the time domain renewing comes around you should have an idea of which sites are earning and which are not. I made 100 sites to see which niche's would stick, so you could probably drop (or sell) a decent amount of the sites/domains to save costs.

I am in no particular rush to sell, but will entertain offers above and around $3000. At this rate the site is set to earn about $4000 per year at its current rate, and with some proper content that figure would surely increase.

I'd prefer not to release the domain names of the sites, but the sites are no more special than a default BANS site, although most of them have a unique that doesn't look great, but hasn't seemed to be an issue so far.

I can accept PayPal (I'm a Verified Premier member) payments or direct deposit - PayPal is probably safer and more convenient.

Well then you should give us a start bid and bin or soemthing. It is your fault for not specifying anything. Please specify. (We are used to bid format, and bids start REALLY low)

And yes, the buyer would need a $97 BAN's license.

 

Show the proof of your earnings and you will get close to what you are asking for. Your ask is not unreasonable. But you have to show the proof. I am interested as well. pm me the details.

 

There are not many details to PM, I've stated everything in the main post. I'll upload a revenue screenshot shortly however.

Also, in terms of traffic the sites receive very little, and I'm not particularly very fond of going through every statcounter project and taking a screenshot of a few uniques per day. I can take a screenshot of the main members panel, which gives an idea of today's, and overalls page views, but that doesn't help particularly much.

how are you promoting the sites?

Also, included in the sale is the statcounter account so you won't have to add tracking yourself.

Also, there will be no refunds. I've been completely honest in this thread, but the last time I sold a site the buyer asked for a refund simply because they decided they were simply no longer interested in running the site. I obliged as I hadn't said anything against it, but now I have.

 

Can some please explain what bans sites are?
