Addicted to buying domains?

Recently I have found myself always searching and reg'in new domains to work on in the future - hopefully.

Like today, I have reg'd 4 new ones and it's only just gone past dinner time (UK)

Even when I stop and think I'll work on these first before I buy any more I always end up looking for new ones.

Next year will be an expensive year for renewals lol, I only own about 17 in total at the moment.

I can clearly see the addiction within buying domain names, a bit like going down to the bookies and putting a few bets on the horses / dogs.

That's my plan now. Just need to keep off namecheap

I have around 7 undeveloped ones which I need to get up and running to help pay for this addiction

Try to keep it in the spare time.
I am so addicting that I do it in the working time. For example now.

If you had that addiction ten years ago you might have been able to buy the Betty Ford Clinic and add a domain addiction program. :)

Try to find restraint, and purchase domains with revenue made from your site. I knew a guy a few years back that had bought over 300 domains in a couple of weeks, all from network solutions!

I think I have like 80 or 90 domains on my portfolio and like 60 are not yet used, I only got them as found them to sound good. I get a new domain name every 2-3 days and i can't stop. I know that with a proper SEO it doesn't matter what your domain name is, but even that, yes, I'm addicted to buy new domains!

Yes I know exactly how you feel, it felt like I was going through withdrawals when the .asia domains became available and I didn't have any money!

Actually, it's not too late. The game is just begin. I am hogging all the keyword domain name and just park them to break even (hopefully)
I will stop when I reached 100 domains or so and see how things go before keep going :D

I go through phases where im regging names all the time, and then i slow down and lose interest for a period of time...and of course all the renewals come during the down time.

    6.99x 100 = $699 x 3 ~ $2,100

Not too bad, I am making too much with one of my website already and I need to spend off a lot in order to continue fund for school so domain would be a great investment for future. :)

I can tell you that once you have one domain you start thinking about the possibilities... and LOL I have ALOT of domains I will never use. But somehow, when I registered them, I felt like I was hitting a gold mine.

It's pretty much like an advanced for of betting. Which in essence, is a sickness!
So we are all sick bastards trying to make ourselves rich.... wait, I just defined the entire population of the US!
    WOW

so far, I have registered 43 domains since the beginning of the year. I know, its pathetic.
We need to create a domain name help line...

    1-800-DN-Addict
    Admit it! Its taking over....

17 domains to renew is expensive......WOW!

You must be on a very limited budget ;)

That's not that expensive. Companies that have 10,000 or over 100,000 names.....now that's some expensive renewals! Lucky I'm nowhere near that point & don't really plan on getting to that point either.

Not so much of a budget but I want to try and get these up and running so they at least pay for itself + more hopefully :)

I have various different ways to start making money inplace but the problem is they are all 50% complete or less lol. At least I can have a change if I feel it and being only 21 I guess I'm still young-ish

Need to sit down and finish them one by one to see the best return
