Payment Processor for Philippine Based E-Commerce Site?

I'm helping some relatives start an e-commerce website that is based in the Philippines. This is a legit e-commerce site and they plan to sell to customers worldwide. The issue is that not many payment processors are willing to work with a Philippine based company and bank account.

What would be the best way to find a payment processing merchant? I tried researching online but havent found any solid answers. I live in the United States so it would be difficult for me to visit a Philippine bank or Payment Processing company based there until I visit in June.

Does anybody here know how e-commerce works in the Philippines? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Paypal is your best option. It is widely accepted worldwide and you can easily withdraw it via our local banks like BDO or Metrobank.

paypal is one of our options but we would prefer to go with an actually payment processor. ive had bad experiences in the past with paypal's customer support - we cant risk having our account funds held and wait 2 weeks for it to get resolved. I believe paypal, as big a company as they are, do not prioritize well when it comes to resolving issues.

I would recommend using paypal. Or you can use any debit or credit card. I heard iKobo is also a payment processor. And there's a local payment processor called PhilPay. I haven't tried these processors, though

It's quite easy. There is really not much in terms of limitation except a lower conversion rate from paypal, and in my experience with withdrawing to metrobank. it takes around 48 hours to receive your money from the time it says completed in your paypal account.

Since you are web based, you can contact BDO or other banks, and apply for a merchant account for you e-commerce business.
