Need some clickbank help.

    Hello all,

I am new to the forums but and kinda sorta new to affiliate marketing as well. I've been reading the forums for a few days now and there is a wealth of information here which is great for newbies like myself. I recently made a clickbank account because I decided to sell their products on craigslist because I hear that it is a free and effective way to market clickbank products. I also have CL auto poster because i heard that its the best auto poster and I wanted to make life easier even if it was 100 bucks. My goal is to eventually make at least 100 per day, I'm not trying to be greedy and i know this goal is very realistic and possible with the autoposter I have.

Now that I have this program and my clickbank account, I'm having trouble making any sells. I've been working everyday for the last 2 weeks and haven't sold anything out of like 4 products I'm promoting on craigslist. The products I'm selling are decent and barely anyone else is promoting them. I've made a couple of image ads and they get taken down quickly or dont convert. I've also made a couple of normal ads and used autoresponders to redirect anyone to the product im promoting. I know there are a lot of people making a killing off of selling clickbank products on craigslist that don't even have an expensive autoposter so I know i can too.

Can anyone give me any tips to help me in my journey. I'm also willing to buy an ebook from anyone that has very detailed specific tips on how to sell clickbank products on craigslist (preferably not expensive because I'm really poor). I would also be interested in someone experienced in what I'm doing to mentoring me on how to make at least $100 per day selling clickbank products on craigslist or other free menthods to earn money today on clickbank. I work hard and I have a lot of free time so if the methods take several hours to set up, I don't care. I'm willing to share a percentage of my profits in return for good advice from a mentor. Thanks to all in advance for your time.

    Hi,

I have not used craigslist that much, but never had any luck with it.
The problem as I see it, are that there is too many people going for the easy solution to blast ads to classified pages and safelists.
Your page will simply disappear in a couple of hours.

If I were you, I would try other free advertising resources, like Squidoo and Hubpages.
It will take you a couple of hours to set up a simple page, but they are normally indexed by Google in a couple of days.
If barely no one else is promoting it as you say, you should be on Google's first page in no time.

UsFreeAds is also a good place to advertise, since Google loves them too. Go for a Premium account (around $10 a month) and you will see the same results as with Squidoo and Hubpages.

Do you know if there is a demand for your product?
    Check out your keywords here:
    http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/

And remember that even if people are searching for your product, it don't mean that they are buying visitors.

Another thing you could do is to check Google if there are any forums related to your niche. This could be a great place to start to find out what people are looking for.

    Good luck!

    Rolf

From what you're saying, it sounds as if you believed some great sounding marketing hype that told you how easy it would be to make money selling as an affiliate.

The truth is, it isn't easy. You probably won't make any money if you're just going to create short ads that promote ClickBank products. And if you do make any money, it'll be more luck than anything else.

The best way of affiliate promotion is by adding value for the reader. That could be via a thoughtful review of the product, a comparison with similar products, etc.

People rarely search on the web to buy stuff. They search for information. If they get that information from you, then they're more inclined to follow your links and buy through your affiliate link.

One of the best resources I've ever read about affiliate marketing is Rosalind Gardner's book, Super Affiliate Handbook (http://snurl.com/242q4). It gives hardcore, no fluff, no hype advice on how to go about building an affiliate business.

Now, that link to her book is my affiliate link (I'm not yet allowed live links on the forums). Would you feel more inclined to follow that link with the information and advice I've given you, versus if you only saw the link to the book that's in a 2-line ad?

I hope I've not only told you in words, but also demonstrated in practice what I mean.

    Best regards,

    Dewald

Thanks for all the replies even though you guys pretty much just shattered my dreams. I was really looking forward to marketing clickbank products on craigslist since i've already bought a very expensive auto posting tool for that purpose. I don't think I'm quite ready to give up yet although I will start using other free classified ad sites as well although posting will take a bit longer. Thank you for all the advice anyway!

Turnpoint recommended Squidoo. I agree. Build a few highly targeted niche pages.

I found when i started out, that a review site worked well. I created a simple site, comparing a few different products. I also had a simple form to get e-mails, you will make a bit from the review site but as you get more and more emails addresses you start to sell through the e-mail campagns too.

    Hi again,

It is not about shattering your dreams, but more an advice to not put all your eggs in one basket.

If you are persistent and keep on promoting and expand your advertising arenas you will make money. No doubt about that.:)

affiliate marketing isn't easy. otherwise everyone would be doing it and it would stop working.

you payed some money for the autoposter tool and happen to know about clickbank. This doesn't make you different enough from the crowd to make it worth some money. anyone can do what you did - that's why it didn't work.

As you have more free time, it may be better if you read the various threads in this forum, you can find out how other affiliates are promoting products.

In my experience, instead of building many affiliate sites for different products, it is better to develop your own website which could offer useful information to the users. You can use that site for building mailing lists and you can use the lists for sending your offers for affiliate products. That is how the big gurus make money - from their lists.
