I need a bit of help

I'm not exactly sure if this is the best place to put this topic, and if it isn't, I'd appreciate it if an admin could move it.

I am in the market to start selling advertisements on my website. It's a forum board, with over 1500 members, 160k posts, that is a general talking board that came together because of an interest in gaming.

My Alexa Rank is 94,516.

I get around 1000uniques a day, and over 3 million hits a month.

Someone who is knowledgeable, can I have an estimate of what you think would be a good amount to sell monthly ads for for multiple sizes?

I've seen ads' price ranges go from 150 to 250 dollars in websites like the one you are describing, but I'm not 100% sure on this.

Germz seems to have it about right from what I've heard and seen in the past. You might consider using an agency. I know a lot of the really big sites (perezhilton, icanhascheezburger, etc) use an agency to sell space for them for the right amount.

 

I'm sorry, but with only 1,000 a day, you are not going to get much. I don't know, maybe...a couple of hundred a month.

Work on buidling your traffic, and keep them coming back.

 

I agree with Perry I think it may be best to try and sell an affiliate product in your advertising space as the returns may be higher. Hard to know without seeing your site.
