Can you tell if you've been banned from Google?

I have a website that has PageRank, but no matter what I do or try, I CANNOT get it indexed in google. I have used Google Webmaster Tools, created site maps, hired SEO services, but NOTHING will work. What can i do to find out if my domain is banned and how to get back on the 'Good Side'. Thanks!

hmmm.... maybe you can buy a link at washingtonpost.org? They're very credible. That should force some spiders your way

Is your domain new or older one? If it is new, then you should wait. Sometimes it can take longer to be indexed, if you buy a domain with high PR and you host it in a new server. Because of new IP, it could be possible that Google takes longer to index you.

If you are not indexed you might have included rel=nofollow in the header, or your robots txt might have nofollow for the whole site... otherwise, you are banned.

I believe if you use Google Webmaster Tools you can know whether your site is banned or not. I've done this in the past.

Use the google webmaster tool to check it. Then try to submit your sitemap with the google webmaster tool

PR0 is still okay, it is not banned. If it went from PR3 to a completely greyed out line instead of a white bar for PR0 or partly green for PR1 to PR10 then it would be banned.

Ok. from the results on that website posted above, my website is banned. I am the new owner. How can I go about getting it unbanned?

search for your domain with and without the .com or .net or whatever extension. I think if it doesn't show up then it means you are banned, but not 100% sure on this.
