Brand New Tag Directory

I started a brand new tag directory at http://www.bloggervirus.com and would love to have people add some links.

 

Tag cloud sites have come and gone long ago, I just don't see this making any money.

 

I love tag clouds!! Will add my link right now!

*recip - the point of the site is for seo... I don't really care about selling links but it was in the script... I think it's fair to ask for a recip and the recip can be on a different site.

Tags on their own are a bad idea are they not? i think its only ok if they are part of a site, just as an addition, because its lots of random links bunched together.

 

I don't know why they would be a bad idea... I am not going to accept links that aren't relevant to the tag.

I've had to modify a few things so far but it's really a pretty good script. Very simple.

 

Tag cloud sites are simply link farms and are viewed as such by webmasters and search engines. Also requiring a recip is judged by search engines as bad SEO.

You can use the 'report post' button to ask for this thread to be moved.

 

Oh, that sounds a bit more interesting but will you include a list of categories on the home page too? I still think requiring a recip will make it tough to get listing and from my experience with directories most recip linkers (around 90%) scam you anyways.

 

It has a cron script that checks for recips daily and disables the links with no recip. I plan to make a quality directory... every link will be hand reviewed. It might be a good idea for me to modify the script a bit further to add categories and use the tags as category specific. Does anyone have a category dump I could use?

Is it just me or are there just alot of idiots in this world that can start a website but are just unable to read? I just don't see the big deal in a-b-c recips...
