quality is in the eyes of the beholder... quality may be niche directories to you, quality may be alexa rank.... quality may be PR, quality may be potential BR based on backlinks the site has... no one can tell you what you think is quality.

True. But at least we can all agree that these directories are of good quality by virtue of their PR. The fact that you can get a one way text link from these directories makes it better over reciprocal links.

 

Ive tried to submit my site to those free directories. In most cases it results in a bunch of spam in my email...

It's probably a good idea to use another email for purposes of submission. I'm sorry but I didn't realize that as I used other email when I submitted my blog.
