i build and run a new site and got a a bit good rank after one days. and i build link and never exchange .rank go up day and day. but after a month, my home page,I SAID AGAIN,HOMEPAGE is suddenly not in google index. my rank suddently go too(sever hundred position). and i start to build link at a subhomepage(category page), i found the page is not in google index too. is it sandbox? or other? anyone? any experience? any idea? is it a must road for new site? my other old site got this too. but reindex in 3 days. but this one ,two weeks past, no reindex.
If your site doesn't show up on a "site:domain.tld" search in Google after it has previously been indexed, it does sound like it has been banned. On the other hand, if it does show up on a site-search, but just not on the targeted keywords, it's probably just in the sandbox.
Check to see if your site has been banned first. If it hasn't (you can check this from inside Google's Webmaster Central), then your site probably has lost its new content "bonus" due to the search engine more accurately placing your site among its listings for the keywords you're targeting. (Which in my humble opinion is what many people consider to be the "sandbox" but I won't get into that - I prefer tangible results rather than hypothesis and speculation when it comes to this industry.)
Sounds just like a sandbox issue, happened to me too - got great ratings for a new site and then it was all gone for a couple of months. Hope you find your way out of it real soon if it is a sandbox issue.
if your site lost indexing, then it cannot be sandbox. sandboxed sites would still appear if you search by domain name. how are you getting your backlinks and how many a day?
Check if your home page in Google index .. do site:yoursite.com and see if it is in Google index or not .. it happens that Google drops the home page of a website for few days and restore it back.
Homepage is out of google index. but google still index hundreds of inner pages. yes google USUALLY reindex your homepage in fews days. but it does not happen to this site. and when i start to build links to my one of a inner page. it is out of index too. it seem google de-index my page if i start to seo it. no exchange links. but a fews of links from forums sigs and blog article.
This has happened to me too. I would have like 100 inner pages indexed in google, but if i did a direct link to one of those inner pages then it would automatically be removed from the Google index the next day. I tested it with 12 inner pages, and all 12 got de-indexed. I can't explain it.
Ok check if you set your 404 error header properly, most likely your home page has been hijacked by some sub URL (do this check if it has been a week and Google has not restore your page back) I build links to inner pages all the time and that has not happened to me, even if it happens some time it is temporary situation and things should go back to normal after few days (unless you are building your links from Viagra or gambling sites)
Wisam: how to check it if your home page has been hijacked by some sub URL? lithman: it seem you and me got the same google penalty, any one got this too? if you homepage gone, build link to deep page see if gone too.
I'm going to say it again - I don't think this is a penalty imposed by Google. What site are you having problems with? And are you currently using Google's Webmasters Central (and do you have your site listed with them there)?
Here's your problem: <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow" /> Code (markup): That's on your home page, causing it to neither be indexed or to have the links on it followed. Remove that. See? No "penalty" whatsoever. Just a META tag that doesn't belong there. I also suggest you use a robots.txt file (to tell search engine spiders where they cannot go) and a sitemap.xml file (to tell them where they can go).
No. It was probably included as part of a template. If your site had been hacked, there would be a LOT worse things done to it than this.
yes, i carefully check my site , no file changed. maybe some bugs of cms system . but can you explain this to me and lithman: my one of inner page gone too, it is my key inner page with backlink(built after homepage deindex) and content is writed by me(unique) ,why had it deindexed from google which indexed before .does it because homepage gone?
First off, was the page created and linked from the home page before or after the "noindex, nofollow" META tag inserted into the home page? If it was after, then the answer would be crystal clear - the search engine was told by the page not to go there. If it was before, then some serious research would have to be conducted. But anyway, I wouldn't worry about it. Clean up the home page, write a robots.txt file to tell the search engines where they're not allowed to go, and then create a sitemap.xml file to tell them where they CAN go. Whenever you create a new page, update the sitemap.xml file to let the search engines know that the new page exists so it can be indexed, then promote the new page normally.
