I currently have almost 200 keywords. Is that too many? should I focus on a few high ranking words? I didnt put 200 words in the meta tags.(thats what it scanned) http://www.waronyou.com For each title page i included the title, So Im using my pages as keywords too. I use categories as tags. Thats where half of them come from. I want to write keywords in the index or template? Not sure where to? I contacted the top 200 sites to exchange links .Anybody that has political content ill exchange with you too. Also does links on my page hurt rankings?
I think you need to re-evaluate the whole SEO concept. There are basic rules to follow, please review the below URL to educate yourself further. www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182915
Thanks Ill look at it. I was using WEB CEO to help. It tells you things like dont repeat words. Put this here and blah blah. But its not real specific. that answered some of my questions already.
200 is way too many, start with one, see how you do with it, then move on to others if you have success.
Thats the words it picked off the page. I had maybe 10 tags per page. But I tag my articles so it counts them too. Is web ceo word density any good? Thats what I been using for my adjusting today. The problem is its a news/blog/forum theres alot of competition. And about 50 variations of news. My other one is just a forum and thats easier since I can concentrate on 3 0r 4 words. The sites have only been up for 3 days and Im already on the search engines. So I cant be too screwed up.
You gonna made or what? You should go with 50 keywords not more than that, You will automatically rank well on other keywords also, if your content is very rich, highly informative and unique.
200 keyphrases it's to much Concentrate on 5-20 and by gaining trust you get rankings for more keyphrase
As you were advised - it is better to concentrate on 10-15 keywords that are of the most importance for your site. When you get high ranking and credibility you will rank easily for other words you have on your pages.
It is best to have fewer than 10 Keywords that way you can really focus them in your content. If you are new I would recommend tackling no more than 5 to start. Try 2-4. You want to make you relevance at 100% between your content, meta tags, meta description, title, and page title (even though it is not tested on the site below, page title is found in the top left of the blue bar in the web browsers window). Meta tags analysis from - submit express. com Title: Title relevancy to page content is poor. The Title relevancy to page content is 57%. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: Found no description meta tag. The description meta tag is used by most of the search engines. Consider to add a description meta tag. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keywords: Found no keywords meta tag. The keyword meta tag is still used by many search engines. Consider to add a keyword meta tag.
If website has about to 10 pages than it's good to target with this many keyword, and if website has more than 30 pages you can target upto 50 keywords considering 3 keywords per page.
You have too many keywords ! wow you can choose some keywords which is use in the description or content, well always remember that include your keyword in the content coz search engine read it if your keyword is not include in the content then search engine ignore that and don't read that and website is not coming on top ranking.
