What it comes down to is having a website with good navigation. Otimization of the site with keywords and content and tracking and making updates and changes to both as needed to increase traffic to your site. Using white hat practices always. Being patient for the long haul.
Thanks for sharing your experience, some parts are good for me. but Im not clr 'check their page source for the "nofollow" attribute. If it's there delete their link.' Why
With regard to one of the points mentioned - and mentioned in so many other places besides - I'd be interested in a list of 'top' sites to submit articles to. Does anyone know if there's one buried in the forums here somewhere? Thanks in advance!
It's tough to find decent information on these SEO forums since everyone here is some jackass marketer.
From now on, when Google sees the attribute (rel="nofollow") on hyperlinks, those links won't get any credit when we rank websites in our search results. This isn't a negative vote for the site where the comment was posted; it's just a way to make sure that spammers get no benefit from abusing public areas like blog comments, trackbacks, and referrer lists. Source Google Blog To check a website page source go to View-Page Source on Firefox or View-Source on IE, and then search for your link If you see this <a href="http://www.example.com/" rel="nofollow">text goes here</a> then your link is no good on their site for you.
i've got an expert rating certification....it's just for testing the SEO knowledge...and for some credibility logos
The post is for beginners to learn from my own experience..i can't find good posts with examples..do you? Paying for traffic...a lot of people does...just pointing what can you expect from it..if you're such a great SEO funny guy..don't bother reading
Web CEO and IBP don't make you an expert. It is like saying that because I can run a basic audio editing program that I am now a record producer. Thanks for taking the time to write down the tips that you did. You may want to preface a post like that with something stating that it is more for newbies only. The majority of the folks on this forum are not newbies and by stating that you are certified really set some people off. Getting certified by WebCeo is like getting a learners permit to drive. I am sorry my friend, you set yourself up to be laughed at with some of your comments. Thanks though for sharing your experience. Hopefully some of the other newbies will get some use out of your experience.
I like this information. I strongly agree with the articles being on your own site. I have a question though, am I allowed to put in a Digg or bookmarking script into a site that isn't a blog? Thanks Best
