Many complain that Windows Vista run too slowly, I suppose it depends on the speed of your PC.

One of the biggest drains is UAC (User Account Control) this can be turned off if you know how.

This article will explain in more detail how to Do things quicker In Windows Vista

    Thanks Brian

Good tips. I think best way to get your system to run faster is to go back to XP Pro! Vista is a bloated turd like most of the newer MS products. Not really sure what it is they are trying to do but I hate it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Ashampoo Winoptimzer has some cool features to destroy the bloat and sluggishness.

a copy of Ashampoo Winoptimizer strips all the noneessentials from Vista. You'll find it starting up maybe 20 seconds less after running the tweaks

Proximity you can get a usb stick but that wont help a lot..

You can upgrade your GFX Card.. as a certain video ram is required.

Vista costs anywhere from $99US to I think $299US (may go higher than that)...just depends on the features you want.
