Let me know what you think of this link building / auto-content idea.

Step 1: Setup a wordpress blog.

Step 2: Use absolutely NO spam safeguards.

Step 3: Let people spam the crap out if it. Let them post anything they want , even automatically.

Step 4: Use a search and replace plugin to replace spam words with your own keywords (ex. "sex" replaced with "your keyword").

Step 5: Use kb-linker to automatically convert all your keyword text to backlinks to your site(s).

Do you think that would work or be helpful for seo?

I would prefer to have blogs that have content that makes sense, for your approach, the replacement of the words may make the comments less offensive but still nonsensical, I doubt it will get popular. Surfers do not go to blogs to read comments which barely contain a complete sentence. SEO wise is dependent on the content also, so I sincerely doubt the approach.

Agreed with wisdomtool... this idea is simply cheap and unethical... just my opinion... best of luck anyway

I am not saying I want to do it.

    I am just speaking hypothetically.

If you did enough keyword replacing, the content might look relevant to google. Yes, No, Maybe?

It may look more like key words stuffing which may be worse off for Google SEO

I hear a lot of people saying that you can't have a bad backlink because that would mean that competitors could cause your site to lose rank by giving you tons of bad backlinks.

If that is the case, then wouldn't this tactic be a no-risk method? It would either give you link juice or it would have a neutral effect.
