quality backlinks - Yes but from where ? do you mean any blogs , new groups etc. or back links from any High PR websites.
Advanced? Just write quality rich content & build quality relevant one-way backlinks; ofcourse after doing proper on-page optimization.
OK i not been on seo long but i have been targeting he higher page rank directories. Is this a good way to go?Also some ask for a return link is this a bad thing??
everybody is talking of Quality Content and Back Links. I agree but want to add that onpage is as important.
In this post everyone is talking about Quality Content and Back Links. But if i am looking for good back links. Where i can get that from. Do you people mean articles, news groups etc. these are going basic now. anything new , from where i can get back the One way link.
Generally speaking, you want to get them from pages (on other sites) that have a PR 4 or higher, are in the same niche as your Web site (or deal with the same topic), rank well (typically in the top 1,000 for the keywords you're targeting), and use the keywords in their anchor text that you wish to rank well for. Now, to dispel a common misconception here. Just because the home page of a Web site you wish to link to has a PR of 6 doesn't mean that its interior pages will. The page the PR6 home page owner may put the link to your site on could have a PR of 1 or 2 for all you know - which is not what you want. Make ABSOLUTELY SURE that the PAGE YOUR ARE BEING LINKED TO ON has the PR you want - and the fewer links on that page (including menu links, if possible), the better. Furthermore, try to avoid commenting on blogs for the backlinks if possible. Blog entries tend to attract a LOT of comments, many of which have outbound links in them. Now, if you can get the link in the blog entry itself - that's a whole other matter entirely, because you'll have the undivided attention of the readers.
Good practice for seo is: 1) Title tags on every page matching your keyword on that page 2) Page name matching your keyword - eg. www yourdomain com/keyword.html 3) Have your keyword shown up in bold at least 3 times on that page - Top paragraph, middle and bottom 4) H1 headers of your keyword on that page 5) Anchor text of your keyword on your web pages linking to other pages within your site 6) Constantly updating content on your website 7) Maybe have your own blog linked into your website 8) Add RSS feed to your website for users 9) Maybe add a forum 10) Have a good domain name that matches the content on your website and keyword 11) Make sure your content is original and not duplicated anywhere 12) Have a sitemap on your website linking all your pages to help the crawler bots 13) Keep it simple, no flash 14) Good navigation around your site to help users find their way around and for search engines 15) Get your meta tag just right and clean with no errors 16) Get as many back links as you can on similar websites that are revelant to your content 17) On your back links use anchor text to show search engines what your website keywords are 18) Write as many articles and blogs and leave keyword anchor text linked to your website 19) Use forums and have a signature with your keyword anchor text back link to increase back links That should keep you busy for the time being.. lol
