DirectoryCritic appears to be having issues. Over their bandwidth limit??

 

appearently their account is suspended. perhaps they forgot to pay their bill?

 

It's been down for over 5 hours. I was wondering when someone would post about it...

I didn't want to be the thread starter, cause someone might accuse me of trying to push the free directory list in my sig.

I advertise on DC, so that is a concern of mine as well...

 

I thought of the same thing, and I almost disabled my sig. I'm advertising there too, so I'm hoping they get it back up soon.

 

If you have a free directory to advertise, check out the middle adsense unit on my directory list page. It's a good spot for a banner.

I am new owner of DC. Yes, we have some server issue and moving to another server. Will take atleast 5-10 hours to fix it.

No, we didn't forget to pay bill, they charges my CC every month

Are some of the guys there nuts? Does a downtime of a website mean bill not being paid? Really some people there need to understand everyone faces a downtime period which can be due to technical or maintenance reasons.

Manish congratulations for being the new owner of DC, wishing you loads of success with it. I am sure it would grow even better heights now.

 

if i remember right they have a new owner right? isn't the original owner on DP? maybe the new owner is just neglecting the site

 

the url that pops up says suspended page.

Which can also mean:

1. Bandwidth overusage.
2. Server overloads.
3. Hosting changes.
- due to which the existing hosting provider either suspends or closes the account temporary.

Doesn't look nice that one makes direct acquisitions on bill not being paid. hope you getting my point.

LOL, whenever someone sees a site down, they start crying that "they forgot to pay the bill". How sad.

It can happen due to many reasons which humm already mentioned. Give them some time guys.
