Is it me or does anyone else see something wrong with what I highlighted? Basicly AdSense is saying boldly, hey were not going to pay you for the clicks you generate for us when your users actually take the time to look for a ad they really like. What the F*** is AdSense thinking? Now, does AdSense get paid by the advertisers for those that click on Next, Prev Advertisments clicked upon? More people should be VERY upset at this. Okay, just reread what they wrote and maybe they need to clarify it more to me, but when a user click Next or Prev we willnot get paid, but do we still get paid if they click on the advertisement? Because at first when I read it, it sounded like we don't get paid for any ad's users click on when they click when viewing one of the Next, Prev advertisments. Cost per Click ad's usually don't payout that much at least in the niche's I have my favor websites in, but still. .
What? That is absurd. Google wants more and more people to use AdSense that is how they make a LOT of money.
Don't you just get paid as normal everytime someone clicks the advert. The arrows just gives the user more options. I wouldn't be that fussed about getting paid when someone clicks the arrow, it will probably help you to get more advert clicks in the long run.
Yeah, I reread it a few times and didn't understand about "Prev", "Next" arrows. At first it sounded as if we are not getting paid for the adverts on the Next, Prev screens, but yeah we are.
I think it's normal not getting paid for the button clicks/pages of ads, while one still earns from the clicks on the next group of ads(if visitor is interested in them). It's just having 2 ads in 1...like grouping of the taskbar items. Still i guess the ads from the second group won't be so related to site's content/never tried them../
Of course i do!!! I have implemented that in many of my sites with great success, and have seen people clicking the next/previous buttons to get the best ads and then click them.
Yeah. Even I have clicked the arrows and wanted to see how the ads are related with each other (of course, on someone else' website). I hope it would be useful to the publishers in the long run
I think in any case we are giving Google adsense our bandwidth and our work. Because even an impression is good for an ad, click not necessary always. But we get nothing back. In general adsense is not a fair system but we have no other better alternative.
Actually no there isn't. All of them are gimp in some way. As far as it stands Adsense operates tha best. I want someone to produce a system similar but with less bull involed. I mean what is wrong with directing people to ads they may be interested in? "Hey! If you are looking for info on this or want to buy that look at these ads!"
I haven't tried any but from what i read Adsense if the best. The only ads that COULD be an alternative are Yahoo ads, but is seems they will never be out of beta (so we can all try).
So with that statement you are admitting that there ARE aternatives. The point was not made regarding which is best.
Big G is always improving and keep things interesting both for publishers and advertisers. So, if they created these buttons, i truly believe they will be a importante piece for us all in near future. We need visitors to interact with ads, otherwise, one day, they will get bored and the CTR will be smaller and smaller. So, no worries on that and let Big G take hold on ads and how they are presented. If you don't like it, well, move on to another Network
Impressions should be higher then $0.00000 for ads that are interactive and that have been interactive with. There is no garentee that an add has been seen by any causal user, but if the >> << arrows are clicked one can be sure that the ads were looked at and likely contemplated. That should be worth something more then just an ad that was scrolled passed. I wonder what the CTR comparison is for this type of ads that have been interacted with, as in I'd like to know just how many people that bother to look at more ads actually click....
