when CPA was available for my current country I gave it a try with a variety of "interesting" products - but I never made any real money out of CPA. all together may be 10$ or so. compared to xx'xxx $/yr in adsense. may be that failure is due to too many global visitors in NON-en languages vs a small ( 20-25% ) US based visitors ? in addition CPA uses up ad space for sometimes boring ads while CPM/CPC HAS to pay and thus has a sincere need to create exciting ads and attractive products. CPA advertisers have zero risk and thus may tend to be lazy business men as they have a win win situation for their own CPA business at full risk of publisher. I have completely removed any CPA ads for ALL above reasons. the past 12 months ( until end march 9 brought me some 49k$ adsense - thats a 4% increase vs the 12 months period ending dec 2007. hence I prefer to focus on more content, better content and thus more traffic.
What do you mean? CPA is the same as Affiliate. Cost Per Action or Cost Per acquisition. Generally speaking publishers that own trafficked web sites are paid by the advertiser when a visitor performs a specific action. These actions can vary, but usually include either viewing a site, filling out a form to join a newsletter or to receive information which is sometimes referred to generating leads or list building and/or buying a product. It should be noted that the advertiser will usually state which type of action he will pay for and may include payment for only one type of action or will vary payments for several types of actions that are completed. CPA can also stand for Cost per Acquisition. Cost per acquisition is a more detailed term used to state that a specific, required action is requested in order for the advertiser to pay a commission or fee to the publisher. For instance, most CPA ad networks that sign up affiliates (web site publishers) for cost per acquisition marketing require the affiliate to return a certain response. An affiliate might be paid for each visitor that signs up for a newsletter or an affiliate might be paid a certain commission for selling a product. Cost per action can include cost per acquisition; however the reverse is not always true. Cheers Lucio
Sorry, now i got.In this case i'd say I'll stick to CPA (of course depending of the product). Cheers Lucio
