. Yes, I know that they are doing overselling but if you want to host a blog or a forum I think hostgator it's ok . It's ok for me anyway
I have a semi dedicated account at www.downtownhost.com. I've been there over a year and its been great!
HOSTICAN is great. I am with them for the past 10 month and run several smaller niche stores and community sites. So far I had great support and no downtime.
ivhosting.com are good, we have hosted many sites with them the best part is their help desk support, I usually receive the reply for my problems in about less than 20 minutes
Well, you could go with LunarPages, but I would not recommend their shared hosting. Especially for an ecommerce or larger site.
Hostgator is good, but beware if your site suddenly takes too much of it's shared hosting servers CPU - they will shut down your site without warning!
I wouldn't recommend 1&1. When I was with them their service sucked (plus they charged for every little bid) and their hosting did not have the features other hosting companies have.
Well, I think you have a good idea of what hosts to consider and ones not to consider at the very least
What are some good hosts that offer unlimited domain and fantastico and cpanel on shared hosting for a good price? Im currently on hostgator and happy with them, but would like to know about others for future reference.
All 13 of my domains are database intensive (wordpress blogs and SMF forums) and I get over 90,000 unique visits(according Google analytics) a month on my account total for all 13 domains and so far no problems from hostgator. I even had some people out of nowhere stumble the heck out of my site for a couple days on top of that level of traffic so my traffic doubled overnight and still no problems.
