Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I have AdSense running on one of my sites and I am very pleased with it, and have no intentions of changing to something else. However, on another one of my sites, something with the code is causing some versions of IE to crash when they view the site with the AdSense ads. I have tried to determine the problem unsuccessfully, and when I contacted AdSense support they told me to do a Google search for help. (No joke.) So, I have been looking for some alternatives to AdSense. One that looked promising I found was http://www.bidvertiser.com/. (Ironically I found it from an AdSense ad ) Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences on this? I've also heard people talking about CJ, but from my understanding I don't think that that would be best for a site that isn't currently getting very large amounts of traffic. Or, if anyone had any other thoughts on other good ad publishing networks, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
CJ is action based, not click based. what you make depends on how many sales or leads clicks from your site give to the publisher in question.
Other top tier general ad networks to look into would be ValueClick Media, Casale Media, Tribal Fusion, and Burst Media - and probably some others more specific to your site's niche. Here are some lists of cpm and cpc ad networks with reviews about rates, ad sizes availability, and other options. I haven't heard about AdSense ads crashing any browsers though. What site is it and what version of IE is it crashing? In all likelihood, it is Flash or something like that which is crashing an older browser - but then you would face the same issues with other ad networks too.
I have bidvertiser on a few of my sites, although on most of my sites I use adsense. The amount that you get paid per click can be comparable to adsense, depending on the niche.
Bidvertiser offers low per click rate than adsense so no its not the best alternative. There is chitika for example which offers good but nit the best rate per click. The rate depends on the traffic though so there is no need to stress out on the rate and stuff but make sure that what you choose is full credibility and reputable. Sky
as far as I know, Casale Media is intended to monetize display inventory for large branded pubs only.
I'd say that BidTraffic is a good alternative. It's not very well known and it recieves a lot of slating off of marketers but I can say that I've had good experiences with it. They have a wide range of ads and the conversion rate has been good for me.
7search.com, adbrite, bidvertiser, infolinks are the most popular PPC campaign except google adsense.
Hey tom, If you're still looking for an alternative ad platform for your second website, you should check us out. We are a self-serve ad platform that operates with a slightly different system than the rest and offer great rates. Plus, you may work with a variety of pricing models and there's no minimum threshold for payment. www.adsgadget.com Cheers & good luck!
