    I bet all of you came across the scenario where you wanted to chat with someone, however they didn't use the same Instant Messaging Platform that you do.
    Especially if that person lives in a different country where various others chat programs might be more popular.

    I was interested in making this statistic among DP members, about your (preferred) Instant Messengers.

    (I won't include Meebo or eBuddy for example, as they themselves are based on other primary messengers like Yahoo! or MSN)

    I prefer AIM, but I also use msn messenger and ICQ in case people don't have aim :)

    Actually i don't like to use any messenger so rarely use only one messenger which is YIM ;) Used GTalk less than 10 times.

    well all my family members or old mates or business dealers use either msn or gmail so I sue only them 2
    even tohugh i hate IM-ing in general

    I use Yahoo and Skype. Skype only for voice and video chat though.
    I also used to use MSN, but discontinued after a while.

    I use MSN, Yahoo, and Gtalk. Most of my friends use Yahoo though, so I'm quite forced to use it as well. :p
