Hey guys i am just wondering if SEO consultants use any SEO Tools when working on optimizing a persons website?

Or do they depend solely on their own knowledge?

    Thanks Will.

I use my knowledge, not software\tool suites, in theory any respectable SEO consultant shouldn't need tools\software to generate the results they need. Just another example of how people are taking money from other people for services they can't render.

I totally agree mate, i was just curious.
If i was to pay someone to perform SEO on my website i would expect them to use their own knowledge and skills rather than using a program designed for people with little to no knowledge about seo.

    Will.

We do everything related to SEO & SEM, in fact if you view my thread in my signature related to my SEO services you'll see why I'm so popular. I offer an entire SEO analysis for your site for $40, which allows you to make the corrects that you can and saves you money, then I can correct the rest for my hourly rate. Look at some of my reviews and iTrader to see :)

My guess would be Wordtracker...everything else can be done for free. Hell, even wordtracker's stuff can be done for free :) it just adds more time to the project.

Spyfu is so inaccurate that it can't be taken seriously! That site is a joke. I tried it on my company's site here at work, and the data was SO far in left field. It wasnt even close. I tried it on my own sites and had the same results.

I imagine they would at least use keyword tools and Google analytics.
