My site used to get 2000+ visitors and all of a sudden day before yesterday I lost all serp's from google. I am of course getting traffic from MSN and Yahoo. Will my serp's be back to normal. Any consolation will be highly appreciated.
I had the same problem, i was getting 200 to 250 people a day from google, now it is down to 23 a day. I cant figure out what i did wrong.
Well, there are so many reasons this could happen. You would need someone to review your site, perform an SEO analysis and see whats going on, this can actuall benefit you. Also, simple aglorithmic changes can alter SERPs across the board for many sites. Please see my signature if your interested in an SEO an analysis.
Bah, many people said google is changing their algorithms, yet I can see many spam sites rank very highly. In fact, their SERPs are improving. One of my competitors got better SERPs in my targeted keyword although his back links all comes only from link exchange partners (last week he was not in the top 10, today he is in the top 5, four stairs under my site. That's why I'm curious who is this new competitor?). And his link exchange partners all are spam sites just like his site (in resource web page, you know...a page with full of external links). He depends heavily on this kind of traditional link partners but his SERPs are improving. So this is Google's better algorithm? Well, quite disappointed. I even can show all of you that many paid links "TRADITIONAL" forms (such as blog review, each blog post link to different niche, different site) still deliver value for SERPs. Very disappointed with this because my other competitor's SERPS are improving only because of paid links. And what I mean with paid links here are kinds of traditional paid links, not the advanced ones. Google algorithm is not improving at all. Not in the last 5 months.
Yeah that sucks. I just need to be working on my bbnacklinks, i havent in many months. I was still moving up then i took a hit.
Were you selling links? Are your competitors building backlinks at a steady pace while you are sluffing behind? Are your competitors more optimized for the keywords your targetting? How does your page size compare to your coompetitors? Does your page take a long time to load up?
I am not selling links. I cannot understand site loosing all serps in a day. Had it been going down slowly that would explain the other problems listed.
It could be that many other sites are increasing in rank by other means that what you are doing. It pays to keep focussed on building it up in a steady way. If nothing is done for a month or two then it can slip quite easily.
The exact same thing happened to me a few days ago (April 2, 3 & 4th). Over night all of my Google traffic fell off the face of the earth. I was receiving traffic from Yahoo, MSN, Ask, etc, but nothing from Google. After I picked myself up off of the floor, I realized that I couldn't control Google, so I kept on doing what I knew how to do. I continued to write content and seek healthy back links. I did that to keep myself busy and to take my mind off of my miserable traffic. I was pleased to see that on April 5th my traffic came back. I don't know what Google did, but I realized that it was the wakeup call that I needed to work on my back links. I don't know if this helps you, but I definitely sympathize with you. Hope it straightens out soon.
Now that is a lot encouraging for me. I am also performing my routine jobs like adding content and getting backlinks. Well then today/tommorow I should get all my serp's back.
