After you wrote 1 great article, what would be your posting sequence to benefit your website most and build the backlinks. Mine, 1. Website's blog 2. Bookmark 3. Ezine website I usually make sure my blog got indexed then only I post to other article website. Sound logic but I'm not sure useful because after all my great plan, those bookmark and article site still rank higher than my website :|
If they rank above your website, probably you should not use the same article in both places. If one article is meant to be published in ezines, better do not put the same on your blog. A duplicate content penalty is going to be the worst thing to happen for a blog.
Put the whole content on your website and the summary to Articles directory and put a note read more at your blog.
Why do you want to publish your unique rich article content over the web? Just publish on your website, as early as G crawls it, you will be benefited In serp. Still if you are want to publish your article on several directories, than you need to be ready for competitions with your own content with those directories.
My idea is to get some traffic from those article websites, in fact I did receive traffics from those article website, and some backlinks too. On the other hand, I do understand what you trying to say. So which option weight more?
Simple, never go for article submissions, you will automatically get traffic through search engines when your article page will be cached, As Google loves unique and rich content, you will be benefited in SERP's. So traffic question clear here. And i do have more than 450 Article directory list, but i did not get good back links in Google through those author links in Article directories. So here link question also ends. For only cheap links you should not distribute your content over the web, IMO. Regards, Chaitanya
It makes no difference if you get it indexed on your site 10 years before its published elsewhere, the site with the most authority will rank highest. Then all you are doing is competing with yourself with your own content if you submit elsewhere. Forget article directories, stick it on your own site. Do you think the top bloggers and content sites write stuff for directories? No they publish it on their site and become the authority.
