I cant believe it that today I logged into my adsense account and I had more impressions from DP revenue sharing than I had for my own website. I need to drastically improve this situation. At least there is only one way to go and that is to improve. I think my biggest problem is making myself stop posting in DP and writing content for my site.
I have been working on basic SEO, I think my site structure is ok and I have been submitting to blogs here: http://courtneytuttle.com/blogs-that-follow/ (done page 5, now onto 4) and I will attempt some link exchanges in the next few months. I know I really have no reason to complain. I think the amount of traffic I am getting at the moment is discouraging me from writing. Once I build up a user base and my traffic increases I think I will be more motivated and will feel a responsibility to keep on updating content.
Correct.. Huh? How do you expect to get traffic unless you write.....visitors don't fall out of the sky..you have to motivate yourself to bring them... Seriously...you have to be motivated from the beginning because the only way you will get visitors is by working from the beginning... Making money online is no easy task their is some work involved...success comes to few...I was fortunate enough to study SEO for 3 years before I ever attempted to build my first website...yes that is a long time..but it all paid off big time....I built a successful Ecommerce website...I ran this website for 1 year, I had top ten Google rankings...and the site made over 90K its first year...then later on I sold this same website here to a lucky guy...Why did I sell? Because the site was taking up to much of my time....I could not grow like I had planned...Making money online takes work...hard work...
As the age old saying goes "No pain no gain" You have to work hard initially and write quality articles
actually I sell my signature links and prefer not to disclose my website. Thanks, there was some great tips in that post. I have many different niches, some competitive and some where I am the only one. I like experimenting with different things. I found out your point and the end of last year when I created a SEO blog. Although I am no expert, I can honestly say that I learned a lot making that site. And thanks everyone else who posted, I appreciate your help.
if you have more impression on your DP channel than your sites, then i would say you hardly have any traffic at all. yes, you do need to improve your traffic then
