I have been working on link development for a client website. It has been going rather well, and the rankings on the main page is increasing. Most of my linking has been coming from article submission and directory submission. My question is, are serp's for internal pages affected by the position of the main page? Also too should I be developing links to internal pages on my site as well as the homepage? My onpage optimization is very good. And for all my external optimization I ensure that my <a> contains title attribute with my keyword, as well as keyword in the text. Thanks for your responses.
Hey, The serps of your internal pages are affected by your homepage because your homepage passes juice to them. Just make sure you have a good internal linking structure. Its good practice to "deep link" to important internal pages to try and keep them out of the supplemental index. Also with the right optimization internal pages can rank higher then the home page for certain keywords.
Thank you Zytex. I have a very good internal link structure, and my keywords are very specific phrases that area already ranking very well. My main page is what I have been developing links so far, so hopefully it will pass the juice! I am unclear what you mean when you said "keep them out of the supplemental index." Could you elaborate on that just a little bit more? Thanks!
you can find the page views of all the pages after that give more important for the page which one having less no of page views
Do internal linking in your website, in the content also, by placing relevant anchor text on the particular links, That will definitely help.
good information.... but i just want to know how that is it a good way if we use the link of internal pages on our home page ( in a way that will look natural). --Thanks
