What is the benefit in creating a directory?

1.money.
2.Will go with pipes on the failed librarian...hahaha
3.I want to make a directory of quality sites to help people sift through all the garbage out there (idealistic fool I know)

I enjoy it and I make a little money. It's fun reviewing all the sites that are submitted. Right now I have 2 directories and I have about 1200 sites waiting to be reviewed. It's time consuming but it's also a challenge. Well not much time. If you chose to start a directory, Best wishes.
