Has anyone put this strategy into practice? Do visitors truly go through with the ringtones' offer?

however, a question is how can you relate earthquake to ringtone?
    will the traffic be targetted?

Probably not... but who knows, throw $20 at it and test it in Content...

I tried something similar to this concept. I did some research on high traffic ringtone sites and found that a lot of their visitors also went to a certain "dress up game" website. That made sense to me, same demographic as previously mentioned in this thread. So i bid on a bunch of "dress up game" keywords and got traffic but conversions were absolutely dismal and I ended up pausing the campaign.

Wish i could figure out a way to get cheaper traffic that converts. ringtone keywords are so expensive!

Personally this method of getting ringtone converts never worked for me. Regular email submits do better with these type of campaigns but anything else is literally hit or miss and when you do hit something, most of the times its hardly worth it to keep it running. its like 1:1.1 earnings, and with cash flow problems im not trying to break even im trying to make money.

But something struck me today, i remember i had some campaigns up awhile ago which did get converts at around 20-30 cents per click. Now at the time i thought the content network was a huge waste... now that i think about it. If i could get 10 cent clicks it could prove to be a profitable campaign. Ill have to explore this further.

What type of email/zip submit offers do you suggest for this type of ad?

    Would you vote for Obama?

I tried this method on "supertuesday primary election" with zip/email submit, but it was 300 clicks and no one convertion, really sad
