    Hi,
I have some problem with my MB account. They requested a proof of address for unlock my account. The proof can be: utility bill, bank statement, UPS receipt card or other scanned document in english language.

Can somebody send me the document? You can of course cover your personal details.

    Thank you,
    Myo

Wouldn't the address you need be the same one you put on your account?

That won't work. You need proof of your adress, it would have to be in your name

Photoshopping the documents would make the matter worst and just brand you as a cheat and fraud.

Why not have your family members send you the bills or have them send on your behalf or just wait for you to come back home.

There is nothing you can do then.

If you are in the new country for the long term then open an account in that country.

Actually, the passport is a very good idea. I believe that Moneybookers asked for your utility bill not because they want to know how much you paid for your electric or water services.

They just want to establish who you are and that your account is not stolen. What better way then to show your passport then it established who you are and why you are using an overseas IP address different from your home country. What you do is send them a copy of the front of your passport to establish your details and your country and then you also attach the Visa and the entry stamp so they know that you are in that foreign country. If you are there for studies then send them a copy of your student pass or if you are there for work then add your employment letter.

This would be a perfect idea. The point is you can need to send them an explanation that you are one and the same person but now using a different IP address considering the change in location. If you asked for another billing from another person, then that would be something like cheating.

Exactly what the others said. Just explain. I'm sure you're not the first one to be in this situation.
